A fellow 80+, a ‘respected’ volunteer.
He persistently and intentionally places me between himself and others to ‘adjust’ their perceptions.
He expects (and gets) my confidentiality. But! It’s aggravating and confusing to him, when I bring those parties into the conversation.
His way of conferring trust and in some cultural sense say “We” versus “Them.”
Well, I’m with them.
It’s passive aggressive & manipulative. Setting others to blame.
Yeah, he was a manager in tech.

Kristin’s definition of the perfect sized home?

You can vacuum the whole place from a single outlet. (…our current pad actually takes two.)

This is rebound wisdom after living in 3800sqft palace on Bainbridge Island for a decade.

Vacuuming began when we moved in and never stopped. No wonder she hates it. I know I do.

Some hills are worth any cost. #2

Our collective aspiration is that each voice is heard. We live in the information age; the dream is possible.

It works for Banks. Why not voters. An app on our phones. Or a Block Chain transaction.

You’re the tip of the spear.

There are some hills worth any cost.
In dreams we share, there is hope: That each voice is heard. We now live in an age when such things are possible.
Interference with long established rules is propellant. Nefarious power-grabbers can be rendered impotent by shifting paradigms.
We all know the Electoral College is an artifact, a form of assurance for feudalism’s diminishing influence. Recent elections that elevate popular vote losers are a glaring injustice.
Count each vote.

On post-surgery best wishes for a family member… fighting terminal cancer.

Okay, so the absolute last thing we want to to do is add to your burden. Our notes to you do not require responses. From 870 miles away (I checked) it’s a modest way of just letting you know you’re in our thoughts. And prayers!

“Here is one I didn’t write, don’t know and can’t play.”

So sing it anyway!

On Voter ID

David Gerhart

The infuriatingly smug question to the group was:

"Does anyone really have a problem with voter ID?"

My response:

Only if someone can actually show us that voter fraud is a problem."

Otherwise voter ID idiocy disenfranchises actual voters who have a right to participate. Even though they don't have the wherewithal to produce papers.

Asking for papers is how fascists checked for Jews, man.
